Robert Jaeger

Robert runs both halves of Born To Run. He runs the San Francisco pack walks, and he photographs dogs on location around the Bay Area and in his Napa dog photo studio.

His training is a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. The dogs came first, though. He says it plainly: he realized early in life that he was happiest when there was a dog nearby.

That is why the two jobs sit together. A pack walk puts your dog on the beaches and in the parks of San Francisco for 1 1/2 to 3 hours with friends, and Robert brings the camera along. Clients see the pictures online. A portrait session starts the same way every time: he wants to meet your dog first, then tailors the shoot to your dog's personality and your vision.

“Not only do I fully trust Robert and his team with our fur-girl, but also trust them implicitly with access to our home. As a total bonus, Robert is an amazing photographer, and posts incredible pics of the pups online.”

“Robert's a born dog photographer - combining his educational background in photography and art with his passion for the four legged varieties results in true dog photography magic.”
